VOLCANOLOGY FIELD SCHOOL IN ECUADOR
Learn the fundamentals of field work and mapping while studying volcanic deposits in a classic continental volcanic arc. The course will contain field study of several of Ecuador’s active volcanoes (including Cotopaxi and Chimborazo) as well as an introduction to the monitoring and hazard mitigation efforts of the Geophysical Institute of Ecuador.
TECTONICS FIELD SCHOOL IN COSTA RICA
This course is designed to experience the diverse flora and fauna of tropical rain forests, the power and role of plate tectonics and volcanism and the impacts of human actions on our natural environment. The complete learning experience is linked to the evolution and closure of the Central American Isthmus.
